Amelia's pov

In the ancient Addros castle, the atmosphere was filled with the unique scent of blood and roses, with a lustful feeling to it all. The wind made the blood-red curtains flutter and the light of the full moon radiated throughout the entire room.

I was gleefully immersed in my intimate relationship with my man. Flesh against flesh, blood against blood as he caressed my body like he was stroking a cat and I was purring to it.

“Hmm…” letting out low moans as I used my hands to feel the contours of his well-built body, I would occasionally sink my claws and teeth into his back and neck and he would do the same to me.

His flawless skin glowed, basking in the moonlight glow, and the intimacy between us knew no bounds. Feeling his breath on the back of my neck made my hair stand and my heart thumped. An ecstatic sensation ran through my entire body and my nether region became active, wanting more.

Lucian didn’t make me wait, as he gave my body what it wanted, making me gasp as I immersed myself in this heavenly feeling. His methods were perfect, and he neither moved too fast nor did he move too slow. He looked into my eyes as he went deep into me and my mouth turned into an O shape and I took a deep breath in. I bit my lip seductively before planting a passionate kiss into his mouth. My senses were heightened and my hair stood as a heavenly feeling washed over me.

With a grunt, he let it all out and I also did the same while holding him tight. We both panted, feeling a little bit exhausted, even though my body wanted more, and I could tell that he felt the same.

“Your Highness seems unsatisfied…” he uttered as he still caressed my body.

“I cannot be blamed. I can’t just have enough of you.” I replied with a smile. He returned the smile and planted a kiss on my lips and my heart fluttered. Even though I was the Vampire queen, I couldn’t help but fall for this man. He rubbed his finger on my smooth, white skin that glistened under the white light of the full moon, but what happened next made me gasp.

“Wh—Why?” I struggled to ask as blood dripped from the side of my mouth. However, a malicious smile appeared on his face as his hand pierced deeper into my flesh, grabbing my heart.

“Make no mistake, my Queen… I deeply love you. Unfortunately, you’re just too soft.” he paused and pursed his lips as if pained and drew his hand out of my chest. hair swayed with the large rosy curtains as he walked to the window. I gasped and winced as the wound on my chest healed up and I sat up.

“You are the vampire queen, but we have reduced ourselves to beggars, feeding from the benevolence of cattle.” He growled but I only maintained a cold look while I prepared myself for the worst. Leaving me alone like this was his greatest mistake, and I wanted to use the opportunity to kill him, but I had to know his reason.

“We had a treaty with humans not to kill. We cannot break what our predecessors had already laid down for us.” I argued but he gritted his teeth.

“You don’t seem to understand, do you…” He uttered with a deep chilly voice, “Those people are gone, and humans are cattle. We are vampires… predators.

We shouldn’t be making deals and treaties with prey. I for one want blood from the vein. I want to suck blood dry from their veins and enjoy the rush of their adrenaline. To feel the fear in their eyes as I chug on their blood and sink my teeth into their blood vessels.” he claimed and at this moment, I could no longer see the man I loved inside him again. What I could see now was a psychopath, ready to do hideous things to fulfill his goal.

“As long as I am still the vampire Queen, you won’t have your way, Lucian,” I claimed before running to attack him but he was quicker and before I knew it, I was pinned against the wall. I struggled and as the vampire Queen, I was stronger than him. I was able to push him away and I was just about to pounce on him and rip his throat, but he was faster. He suddenly appeared behind me and his hands were inside my chest again. I coughed out a lot of blood from my mouth.

“And how will you do that without your heart… my Queen?” he asked with a malicious smile before pulling out my heart. The pain… the anger… the burning desire for revenge… and the hope for a second chance… it all hit me at once.

My consciousness began to fade, and I was losing a lot of blood. I couldn’t move, but could only stare at Lucian squeezing my heart and drinking all the blood from it before throwing it away. His eyes turned blood-red and a smile appeared on his face.

“Sorry, my Queen, but your rule ends here…” those were the last of his words I heard.

‘If only… if only I could just… get… a second… chance…’ the almost blinding light of the full moon was the last thing I saw before my consciousness finally faded.

I gasped as I suddenly opened my eyes. It all felt like a nightmare… or so I thought. Before I could wrap my head around what was going on, the first thing I saw was an Old man lying on top of me and trying to sink his teeth into my neck. My eyes widened and my pupils dilated as a rush of adrenalin went through my entire body. Almost instinctively, I kicked this man on the belly to the point I sent him flying a meter back before suddenly running towards him, covering his mouth to keep him from screaming and twisting his neck, killing him instantly before he could even think at all.

‘How dare he try to drink my blood. Has he no idea that I’m the vampire Queen?’ I wondered before looking around me. The king-sized bed and furniture around weren’t to my taste, and it suddenly dawned on me.

‘This isn’t my room. Where am I?’ I asked myself as I looked around me for clues. However, I suddenly looked at the mirror that was a distance away and I was shocked.

At the other end was a lady of a slightly bigger stature than me… or what I used to be. My long hair was brown, in complete contrast to the red hair I used to have, and my eyes were blue like the ocean. I had a red hue on my cheeks and the dress I was wearing looked a bit dirty and ragged, which irritated me. I still looked like myself but I was much more… bigger

‘Seems like I did reincarnate, but not as the Vampire Queen.’ I thought to myself as I rubbed my hand on my neck and I could feel something odd… warmth.

“What the hell?” I uttered as I rubbed my hand on my neck but I noticed that my body temperature was warm, in contrast to my usually cold temperature.

“Apart from not coming back as the vampire queen, I’m a different creature now? Is this a joke?” I groaned to myself as I was extremely annoyed.
